RPFS offer a range of crop protection services that include spraying (of agrochemicals and liquid fertiliser) and with our quad bike we can also carry out slug-pelleting and the spraying of small areas.
RPFS runs two self-propelled Househam sprayers, both with 12/24 booms and low ground pressure tyres for autumn and spring work, and in the summer we switch over to row crop wheels for high clearance and bed work. One of the Househam sprayers also has hydraulically adjustable track width from 60” to 88”, making it suitable for wide raised bed work such as asparagus crops.
Both sprayers are fitted with electro-broadcasters with in-cab controls for simultaneously spreading slug pellets, and are also equipped to apply liquid fertiliser. During busy times, the sprayers are supported by either a mixer tank or water bowser to maximise efficiency and ensure timeliness of application.
These sprayers are operated by a highly skilled NRoSO registered and NPTC PA1, PA2 and PA4 qualified personnel. Many of our clients ask their agronomists to email spraying recommendations to our office so that we can react quickly and make the most of valuable windows of good weather!
